3. Iris Murdoch: Age Will Win

Martin Amis muses on Iris Murdoch - the film of her life, her eccentric domesticity and descent into Alzheimer's. From 2017.

Martin Amis was one of the most celebrated authors of modern times.

This is from his collection of non-fiction pieces from 1986 to 2016.

A feature film based on Iris Murdoch (with Kate Winslet and Judi Dench), gives Martin the chance to muse on the life and work of this acclaimed novelist.

A unique and profound voice, married to John Bayley, he describes the often moving portrayal of her life and marriage on celluloid, her eccentric domesticity, and her later descent as Alzheimer's takes hold.
