Ian has a new resolve, and what's cooking with Lexi?

Johnny needs to complete some paperwork to transfer his apprenticeship to Home Farm. He thanks Helen for making sure Tony signed it. But Helen warns Johnny that Home Farm has a very different approach to Bridge Farm. And she entreats him not to stay away too long.

At Willow Farm Lexi researches Bulgarian recipes. Meanwhile, Roy opens his laptop to catch up on some work for Grey Gables. Lexi spots his dating spreadsheet and Roy is embarrassed as she goes through the reasons he rejected various women. Lexi bakes a Banitsa, which Roy thinks would be more than a match for anything Jennifer might enter in the Flower and Produce Show. He encourages her to take part.

Helen wonders why Ian isn't considering surrogacy. She knows that last time the option came up, a big part of the attraction for Ian was having a baby that was his own flesh and blood. Later, Adam arrives home and insists that Ian tells him what's troubling him. Ian wants to try for his own baby with a surrogate before they go further with adoption. Adam had just started to feel confident about adopting, and this is another big step. But he'll do whatever Ian wants.
