Ian can't hold in his excitement, and Robert has got the solution.

Brian's feeling pessimistic about the yields from Home Farm's recently acquired land. He also is not keen on the idea of a 'Green Brexit'. Adam points out that, if they want to receive public subsidies, they need to look after the land. Anyway the topic will be strictly forbidden at Jennifer's harvest platter evening. Jennifer's preparations are almost derailed by a broken whisk, but Ian comes to the rescue with a replacement.

Kirsty and Robert hope to see hawfinches at Arkwright Lake, and eventually see them return to roost late in the evening. Joe's been trying to recruit Robert to do a background search on Cecil Jackson, but Robert assures Kirsty he's staying well out of it.

Lilian's head is full of wedding plans. At the harvest patter evening, she shares her concern about the photographer for the big day. Justin gently points out that not everyone might be interested, but Jennifer insists that it's the most exciting thing happening in the family at the moment. This prompts Ian to tell everyone about his and Adam's adoption plans. Later, Adam confides in Jennifer that he feels the announcement came too soon. They're only looking into the possibility. Jennifer does her best to reassure him that everything will be alright.
