They are among the most familiar faces and voices on TV and radio and later this morning we will find just how much the BBC's biggest stars earn. In a move demanded by the government, the corporation must reveal the salaries of anyone who earns more than £150,000 per year. We're told only a third on the list of 96 are women. The former BBC chairman, Lord Grade, opposes the move. He doesn't believe it's in the public interest and says people have an obsession with other people's earnings.
