Anne Marie Morris MP is suspended by the Conservatives for making a racist remark at a public debate. Should she resign as an MP?
Conservative MP Anne Marie Morris has been suspended from the party after making a racist remark at a public debate about Brexit. She says the phrase she used was unintentional and has apologised. Nomia asks if she should resign as an MP, and if racism can ever be unintentional? Then Asian Network Investigates looks into why Punjabi Sikh women with drinking problems are less likely to open up about their drinking issues, and hears from a women who has been trying to address her addiction. Afterwards, we discuss the Welsh government's ambition plans to almost double the number of Welsh speakers. We hear from Ashok Ahir who was runner-up in the Welsh Learner of the Year contest in 2012 and see how difficult it was for him to learn the language. After this Lord Kamlesh Patel talks to Nomia about the ECB's plan to encourage more Asians to play cricket. And with more British Asians dying on the waiting list for organ donation, we'll be talking to Sally Johnson from NHS Organ Donation and Transplantation about why there's a lack of Asian donors.
