Pat delivers a telling off, and Lower Loxley's prodigal son returns.

Freddie returns from the Isle of Wight Festival with a permanent souvenir of his time with Bonnie; an eyebrow piercing. Reality bites when Freddie and Johnny realise they've spent all their money. Stuck in Borchester with dead phones, Freddie suggests they might be able to call home from Damara's offices. Johnny isn't sure they will be welcome there after four days at a festival, and is proved correct.

Pat confronts Susan - is she the source of the exaggerated rumours about the housing development? It would actually be very small, and nothing has been signed. A call from Justin confirms he has heard the rumours, and Pat assures him that she's dealing with the source. The deal is still on the table - for the moment. Unrepentant, Susan points out that not everyone will see this as a good thing for the village.

At Lower Loxley, Elizabeth is shocked by a call from Justin, who has lent Freddie his mobile. Has Freddie been going out of his way to upset and humiliate her? She sends him to bed, too angry to talk. Lily thinks Elizabeth shouldn't be so hard on her parenting skills - after all Lily sat her exams. But what on earth can Elizabeth do about Freddie?
