The Whit Friday Marches

Frank Renton visits The Whit Friday Marches and presents a new BBC Music Day Award.

As part of BBC Music Day on June 9, Listen to the Band was at at the Saddleworth and District Whit Friday Brass Band contests where last year well over a hundred brass bands took part in more than 20 locations. Presenter Frank Renton will present a unique Award given by the BBC to the band who best illustrates this year's Music Day theme of 'The Power of Music' and he'll also feature a unique recording of the winning band.
