And, a former assistant commissioner at Scotland Yard has called for the introduction of internment to deal with the terror threat in the UK. Tarique Ghaffur says that these community-based centres could be a serious solution to the problem police face trying to monitor the estimated 3,000 extremists who are subjects of interest to MI5 and the police. Stephen spoke to Tarique earlier and asked him to set out his suggestion.
