Lilian bares her soul, and there is a barney at Brookfield.

Lilian's in a spin. Her lunch date with Justin's looming and she's worrying about her appearance. Brian tries to convince her Justin's been teasing, and that he really wants to get back with Lilian as much as she does with him. When the taxi arrives Brian heaves a sigh of relief. He confides in Jennifer that he can't take much more of Lilian's insecurity.

Over lunch Lilian and Justin speak honestly. She realises she may have misconstrued his recent actions, and the two finally admit they love one another. Justin presents Lilian with a beautiful pair of earrings. He's forgiven. They go back to the Dower House together.

Tom's furious to learn from Jennifer about the IBR at Home Farm. He believes it all clearly points to Brookfield. Meanwhile, Brian calls at Brookfield to talk to David and Ruth. IBR is costing him a fortune in vet fees, and he thinks they should pick up the tab. Irate David insists there's no proof they're the source of the infection. Tom joins them, and steps up the pressure. He doesn't hold back in his accusations, accusing the Brookfield Archers of poor bio-security and a lack of regard for peoples' livelihoods. The argument gets uglier, with Tom repeating an observation of Tony's: David isn't half the farmer his father was.
