The Prime Minister says the man who attacked Parliament had previously been investigated by security services in connection with violent extremism. The self-styled Islamic State group has described the perpetrator as a "soldier" of its organisation. Anti-terror police have arrested eight people in overnight raids but police say they believe the attacker was acting alone.
