Emotions run high at Bridge Farm, and Freddie has a lot on his mind.
Kenton wants to know what's up with distracted Freddie. Freddie admits he's terrified his mum will find out about his bad maths grade at the upcoming parents' evening. Kenton offers to attend in Elizabeth's place while Freddie keeps his mum occupied elsewhere. Freddie's unimpressed, but accepts it's the best they've got.
Pat loses her rag with Clarrie, but quickly apologises. She's worried about Tom. Clarrie's supportive and, thinking of Ed and Will's battles, shares her own experience of painful times. She reassures Pat that Tom will be fine; but for now, she just needs to let him be. Grateful Pat gives Clarrie a cake as a thank you for her kindness. Clarrie reminds Pat she's not alone.
Back at Grange Farm, Eddie shows Clarrie the pictures he's taken to promote their B&B offer. Clarrie's conflicted: the house doesn't belong to them, and it would mean a lot of paperwork and hassle, but the money would be useful. Eddie senses victory, but Clarrie will only agree if Caroline and Oliver approve. He later convinces her that the Sterlings are fine with it, and Clarrie capitulates. Eddie's delighted. He's already put the photos online; they'll be hosting their first guests in no time!
