Roy and Helen have a nervous wait, and Jennifer raises her game.

Kirsty feels unwell. Roy mentions Fallon's Un-Valentine's event at the tea room, an event that will be fun for everyone, not just couples. Suddenly Kirsty cries out in pain. She goes to the bathroom and realises that she is bleeding. Roy takes her to hospital.

Jennifer bumps into Miranda, who is looking for somewhere open to buy a newspaper. Jennifer mentions the dinner party that she is going to hold. Miranda is unimpressed so Jennifer talks up the event. After seeing Miranda again in The Bull, Jennifer explains to Brian that she wants to show off to Miranda Elliott. Brian must help keeping Lilian away from Justin at the event - they don't want a disaster. When Brian takes a look at the catering Jennifer is considering he tells her it's getting out of hand. He thinks they should be themselves, do it their way and be proud. Jennifer sees his point and agrees.

Roy and Helen wait nervously while Kirsty is assessed. Tom is trying to get back from Scotland as quickly as he can. Helen joins Kirsty who can't comprehend what is happening. A consultant comes in to do an examination. He tells Kirsty she is having a late miscarriage. Helen refuses to leave Kirsty's side.
