This is one of the most exciting days in the Scottish football calendar as teams from the lower leagues aim to make history against more illustrious opponents.
Junior club Bonnyrigg Rose face their biggest ever game as they take on Hibernian at Tynecastle. Hibs enter the competition as cup holders for the first time in 114 years.
Elsewhere, Highland League side Formartine United make the long journey to Premiership side Partick Thistle, while League Two Elgin City welcome their Highland rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The Premiership strugglers won the cup in 2015, but will make the short trip to Borough Briggs with some trepidation.
Last year's beaten finalists Rangers host Motherwell, while Hamilton visit Kilmarnock in this round's other all-Premiership tie. Dundee United are aiming for a repeat of their thrilling win at Ross County in last season's quarter-final.
