PC James Hewitt has been posted to the bleak Yorkshire Moors.

Being more of a townie, he's appalled by the prospect of pedalling over miles of open country, exposed to bitter winds in pursuit of rural criminals.

But far from the quiet life he and his wife Pam are expecting - the arrival of a mysterious letter sparks a terrifying chain of events and their first encounter with the powers of evil...
