What impact would the collapse of the Stormont executive and a period of political instability have on Northern Ireland? It's been claimed that some of the most vulnerable people in our society could be about to be hit hardest by the latest Stormont crisis. Thirty four thousand homes could miss out on welfare relief which had been put aside for the so called bedroom tax. The Department of Communities has said "without executive and Assembly approval the department does not have the legal basis to introduce the mitigation payments as planned."
