Lynda has some reluctant players, and Toby sweetens the deal.

While Tony oversees Rob's time with Jack, Pat and Helen hope things will be different after the hearing next week. Kaz is being released on Friday and Helen has invited her to visit in the week after Christmas. Pat thinks it's a lovely idea. They both wonder if the sick stain Keira left on Susan's dress will come out.

Eddie thinks Tom's Nuffield scholarship sounds like a posh school but Tom assures him it's not like that at all. Tom moans about Johnny and Freddie making a mess at 1 The Green.

Toby asks Eddie if he can store the still in the container in Grundys' Field. In return he offers to pick mistletoe with him in the Brookfield orchard.

Helen recounts to Kirsty how upset Henry got when she suggested he took part in Mother Goose. Helen worries that all the time Henry spent with Rob has affected him.

The auditions for the talent show are not a great success. Toby demonstrates his juggling skills but gets knocked over as Kirsty comes through the door. Tom and Kirsty try to delay their rehearsal by asking Lynda questions about the script. Lynda pushes them on, explaining their characters are destined to be with one another.
