Toby has a new toy, and Susan is insulted.
Susan's unhappy that Neil has to clear the bonfire. However, Neil thinks they should do their bit, given that they've agreed to pull out of Mother Goose. Kate insulted Susan by offering her the part of Esmerelda - a 'gossipy old crone'. Susan reminds Neil not to sneak into the Bull for lunch - they've already had mushrooms on toast. Later, Susan has some more photographer websites for Neil to look at for their family portrait, but famished Neil is preoccupied with food.
As Johnny and Neil clear the rubbish from the fireworks, Johnny laments the loss of the Borsetshire Blaster - Kenton's most expensive firework - and Neil finds a tattered Joker mask used for the guy. They can't believe Rob turned up - no one wanted him there. They discuss Helen, who has to see Rob's psychologist. Elizabeth's display also went well. She asks Johnny to look out for Freddie at college. He seems introverted.
Pip helps Toby unload his pick-up, commenting that he was quick to get away to Brighton on Friday. Toby unveils the still he collected from a friend - he feels ready to start distilling gin and assures Pip he doesn't need a licence while he's only experimenting. Toby promises next time he goes to Brighton they'll go together.
