Residents group reject latest Casement Park redevelopment plans

A residents group in west Belfast has rejected new proposals by the GAA for the redevelopment of the Casement Park stadium. The Mooreland and Owenvarragh Residents Association say the proposed capacity is still almost twice that considered safe in a report by the rescue services.

The second set of proposals reduced the stadium capacity to 34,000 but residents want this brought down to 18,000.

Belfast Zoo face criticism over animal conditions

The Nolan Show has obtained a letter sent to Belfast Zoo laying out concerns about management and conditions at the zoo.

The European Association of Zoos and Aquaria issued the letter in October following a visit to the Cavehill site in August. Among concerns detailed are the lack of a zoo manager for almost 1 year and conditions in which some animals are being kept.
