Adam struggles to be heard, and Pip pleads with Rex.
On Rob's first day as estates manager, Justin officially welcomes him aboard. After a look through the paperwork, Rob pays a visit to Adam. He finds fault in the crops Adam has recently sown on Estate land. Adam counters that it's still early days for the no-till system and he reminds Rob that he has the backing of the Borchester Land Board. Rob says it's his job to ascertain if the measures are actually working and he'll be keeping Justin informed.
Toby is puzzled by a text from Alice saying the goose head has been found. Pip thinks Toby should get in touch with Rex in case there's been a disaster at Hollowtree but Toby remains stubborn. He reckons soon enough Rex will come begging to him.
Pip invites Rex to The Bull's Halloween fancy dress event. Later, Rob turns up there in a Joker mask and Kenton doesn't recognise him at first. When Rob goes to take a phone call from Justin, Kenton and Rex mutter about Rob's inappropriate choice of mask. Pip and Toby arrive at The Bull with Toby in the goose costume Alice had shown Rex for the panto. Rex promptly leaves. Pip goes after him to persuade him to stay but exasperated Rex can't bear to be in the same place as Toby.
