On this week's programme
Liam Logan is at the Ballywalter Ulster Scots Festival to hear from Mark Thompson about a new booklet featuring Ulster Scots writers from Ards and North Down. Staying in that airt there’s a special festival event in Donaghadee, which has piping to the fore from the Ulster-Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band, and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. There’s a verse or two to mark national poetry day and this year’s theme of messages, and at the Jolly Rooks Festival there’s a performance of a poem in Ulster Scots written to mark the opening of the Hillsborough by-pass in 1974.
