Katie Derham continues her week of performances by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Chorus. Today's programme begins with a concert given by the BBC Symphony Chorus as part of the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival, comprising works by British composers including Harvey, Bingham and Richard Rodney Bennett. Edward Gregson's 70th birthday is celebrated with Stravinsky and Gregson from the BBC Symphony Orchestra's wind, brass and percussion sections. Plus Afternoon on 3's British music season continues with a specially recorded Pagan Symphony by Bantock.
