Lynne Sandford has argued for her son to be returned home after he was placed on suicide watch in prison. Mr Sandford has a history of contact with mental health services, she said, and had previously tried to take his own life. The government says Theresa May will not intervene over her predecessor David Cameron's resignation honours list because it would "set a very bad precedent".
