The Chilcot report on the UK's involvement in the Iraq war of 2003 has been released. It found that the UK chose to join before peaceful options to disarm Iraq had been exhausted.
Sir John Chilcot has outlined his findings on the UK's involvement in the 2003 Iraq War. It found that the UK chose to join the invasion before peaceful options to disarm Iraq had been exhausted. John Chilcot also said that the planning and preparations for after the invasion were "wholly inadequate".
