Conservatives used to be united by their shared attitude to God, guns and gays, confident warriors in an ideological battle with liberals. Orlando is another test for those beliefs. Lifelong conservative Mr Frum thinks the triumph of Trump proves that the power of conservatism is crumbling. Should Republicans embrace change? And should they consider embracing Hillary Clinton?
