David Dimbleby looks back on the day's events held to commemorate the Battle of Jutland, one of greatest sea battles in naval history.

For one day in May 1916, the outcome of the First World War hung in the balance as 250 of Britain and Germany's most powerful warships fought head to head in the North Sea.

Today, a hundred years on, the Duke of Edinburgh together with the German president lead the tributes to those who fought and remember the one in ten sailors who lost their lives.
