A report by the National Obesity Forum has suggested eating fat could help cut obesity and type 2 diabetes.

But that has been condemned as irresponsible and potentially deadly by the chief nutritionist in the English health service.

Last night on my radio 5live show I was speaking to Naveed Sattar who is a Professor of Metabollic Medicine at the University of Glasgow and Dr Zoe Harcombe who is an independent obesity researcher and supports the National Obesity Forum.
