Deaf Child Worldwide
Deaf Child Worldwide is the international arm of the National Deaf Children’s Society. Our vision is a world without barriers for every deaf child and we facilitate work that enables deaf children and young people in developing countries to be fully included in their family, education and community life.
Ester, 14, at school
Ester, whose story you hear in the appeal, is thriving at her new school where she learns sign language among hearing and deaf friends.
Norah, mother of Ester who is deaf
Norah’s husband abandoned her family, who you hear about in the appeal, after a third deaf child was born. Norah was determined all her children would still receive an education and she now helps other local parents so that their deaf children will get the right support, from the start.
