Pedley-McKnight Family
Series in which families try out life overseas. Can dreamer Danyel persuade her reluctant family to emigrate to Australia?
Mum Danyel hates the UK's cold and wet weather, and for years she has been yearning to live a life in the sun in Australia. A previous attempt to secure the family a visa, though, saw the family lose thousands of pounds.
If husband Guy had his doubts before, that experience only confirmed it for him - Australia just isn't where his family's meant to be. He fears giving up the job he has held for 20 years, and he is not the only one against the move. Eldest daughter Leeya doesn't want to leave her close-knit friends, and the thought of leaving family is enough to bring another daughter to tears.
Danyel applies for three jobs a day in Australia and thinks a move could offer the family a blank canvas to start again. But will a trial week in Perth see her win the rest of the family around or see her dream bite the dust forever?
