A live broadcast from the UK's only national sperm bank. It's run by the NHS in Birmingham, and it's just celebrated its first birthday.
But in that time it's only managed to get nine new donors. WIth a national shortage of sperm donors, it means that a quarter of the sperm used for fertility treatment in this country comes from overseas. Over three hours, we look at the science and psychology behind sperm donation, talking to couples with fertility problems and the donors themselves. Adrian himself undergoes some of the tests that are part of this rigorous process, and we speak to children of donors and the scientists who make it happen.
