The father of a 7-year-old boy has told 5 live about the battle to treat his diabetic son who is allergic to insulin. Doctors have told the family that Taylor might be the only person in the UK with such a rare allergy.Taylor Banks was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 2. He recovered from a life threatening Diabetic Ketoacidosis or DKA but when his Mum started injecting him with insulin to regulate his blood sugar it caused him extreme pain. Now Taylor is being treated by experts at Great Ormond Street Hospital, 200 miles away from his home.
