Hazel Irvine introduces coverage of the delayed third round of the 144th Open at St Andrews. No British golfer has won The Open at St Andrews since Nick Faldo in 1990. The last time The Open was held there, in 2010, Louis Oosthuizen won his first major in emphatic style, finishing seven strokes clear of Lee Westwood. He is one of three South Africans to have won The Open, along with two-time champion Ernie Els and Bobby Locke.
