Nine people are killed in a shooting at an historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina. City police chief Gregory Mullen described the attack at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church as a "hate crime". 5 Live Daily hears from a reporter at the scene as police hunt the killer. A man is arrested following the brutal beating of a pregnant woman in Peckham, South London. She loses her baby and is in a critical condition in hospital. An ambulance failed to turn up after more than an hour and she was eventually taken to hospital in a police car. And there are concerns that Britain is in the midst of a giant jellyfish invasion.
