In Meet The Author Nick Higham catches up with two distinguished medieval historians, Marc Morris and Stephen Church. It's the 800 year anniversary of Magna Carta - first granted by King John at Runnymede in June 1215 - and they've both written separate biographies taking a fresh look at the monarch's tyrannical reign. Professor Stephen Church's offering is called King John: England, Magna Carta and the making of a Tyrant and Dr Marc Morris's biography is titled King John: Treachery, Tyranny and the Road to Magna Carta.
