Luke, Jade and Callum are stuck in a rut and in need of a cash injection. In a bid to kick-start their lives and earn some serious money, they have signed up to work as deck-hands on a rock lobster fishing boat on the west coast of Australia. It's back-breaking, repetitive and dangerous work, under a scorching sun in treacherous seas, but there is one major perk - money. A seasoned deckie here can earn $1,000 a day - but will the newbies make it to payday or will the 2am starts, the long hours and the inevitable seasickness send them screaming back to the UK?
