Douglas Fraser tracks the downward trend of Brent crude oil and takes the global view, asking why it has happened and what it means for Scotland's oil and gas industry.
This week on Business Scotland we're tracking the downward trend of Brent crude oil, the benchmark which has fallen from $115 US dollars last June, to less than $50 in the past week's trading. While lower oil prices should boost UK economic growth, the price fall is not being seen so positively by many in north-east Scotland. Douglas Fraser's been taking the global view, from Dakota to the Persian Gulf, to find out why it's happened. And he asks what it means for Scotland's oil and gas industry.
