Cook the Perfect Christmas Dinner with Allegra McEvedy, Yotam Ottolenghi and Trine Hahnemann. On the menu, roast goose with marmalade glaze, with golden breadcrumb and herb stuffing. Root mash with wine braised shallots and brussels sprouts with caramelised garlic and lemon peel and Scandinavian style rice pudding with hot cherry sauce.

What's it like for the modern day keepers of stately homes - charged with keeping them pristine without a flotilla of maids at their disposal. We meet housekeeping supervisor, Karen Fryer from Leeds castle in Kent which dates back to the 13th century and is now open to the public.

With only 15 days to go to Christmas, you may be looking for a little inspiration to put a twist on the traditional Christmas day dinner. To help you out, Woman’s Hour will be bringing you three top chefs who will each cook part of the festive meal. Allegra McEvedy, will show us how to cook the perfect roast goose with herb stuffing. The internationally renowned Israeli born chef and restaurant owner Yotam Ottolenghi, will prepare two vegetable side dishes of root mash, and a special Brussels sprouts recipe that he claims will even convert sprout haters. And the Danish chef Trine Hahnemann, will prepare a classic Scandinavian rice pudding with hot cherry sauce which she says ‘...is the best pudding in the world’! Join our three wise chefs as they cook up a feast for Emma Barnett live in the studio, and give their top tips for a stress free Christmas.

Leeds castle in Kent dates back to the 13th century and is now open to the public. Louise Adamson, has been getting a lesson in cleaning from the housekeeping supervisor, Karen Fryer.
