Steve has a very special Classic Album of the Day with the The Housemartins, London 0 Hull 4. Paul Heaton is in conversation with Steve about this seminal album of the 1980's. Throughout the daytime shows on BBC Radio 6 Music tracks from London 0 Hull 4 have been played. 6 Music celebrates and dissects this genre defining album, culminating in an in depth interview with Paul Heaton. This is the second of a three part instalment where Steve Lamacq looks at classic albums. Machine Gun Etiquette from the 70's was last week, and on September 3rd Steve will be looking at a classic album from the 90's. Previous Classic Album of the Day's have included The Verve's Urban Hymns, De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising and Gary Numan's Replicas, it's a feature held for the highest achieving of record, not just by commercial success but by cultural impact.
