Twenty-year-old British sensation Jodie Williams will be hoping to enhance her blossoming reputation against Europe's elite over the longer sprint distance. Danny Talbot edged out Adam Gemili to take the British 200m crown in June, both men are seen as genuine medal contenders.

Elsewhere, young starlet Emelia Gorecka is part of the British trio in the women's 5000m, the heptathlon begins and the women's 20km final also takes place.
