Ian Hamilton investigates businesses serving the disabled community, a sector said to be worth 80 billion pounds and which is anticipating major growth.
This week on Business Scotland, Ian Hamilton takes a look at one sector of the business community that is anticipating major growth over the next 30 years and it's said that Scottish companies are well placed to benefit. There are 11 million disabled people across the UK and one million of them in Scotland. Many will have heard of the grey pound and the green pound but how many have heard of the purple pound - this colour has become associated with the disabled community which is said to be worth 80 billion pounds a year in the UK.
