Will the Archdeacon’s new Vicar of St Ewold's be a challenge to the slippery Chaplain, Obidiah Slope? Stars Malcolm Sinclair.

Dr Arabin is 40, an Oxford man and adversary in Archdeacon Grantly's fight against the odious clerical newcomer, Slope.

Arabin, however, knows nothing of women.

But now he's seen Eleanor Bold, looking out over the fields to Barchester.....
