Clare Balding hosts the topical faith show and talks to Heidi Thomas. Heidi Thomas is a playwright and screenwriter and is responsible for bringing to life "Call the Midwife", the memoirs of Jennifer Worth, which tell of her experiences as a community midwife in the 1950s in the East End of London. Series 3 of "Call the Midwife" is coming to BBC One in January. Clare's faith guest is Rabbi Pete Tobias.

Heidi Thomas is a GRAMMY and EMMY award winning screenwriter whose credits include Upstairs Downstairs, Cranford and BBC One's hugely successful Call the Midwife – the third series of which begins on 19th January. She talks to Clare about how working on Call The Midwife has been 'life-changing', and about her commitment to The Society of Friends and the gifts of silent worship.
