The 2012 event saw a battle between Britain's Daniel Purvis and Marcel Nyugen, Germany's Olympic silver medallist. Purvis missed a pirouette on high bar during his final routine, gifting victory to Nyugen and also slipping behind Japan's Kazuhito Tanaka. The 23-year-old Brit returns this year, looking to put that disappointment firmly behind him. He has rising American star John Orozco and fellow Briton Sam Oldham amongst his rivals.
Elizabeth Price was dominant in the women's event last year, and the American is back again to defend her title. She has European beam champion Larisa Iordache, Britain's Ruby Harrold and Italian duo Carlotta Ferlito and Vanessa Ferrari for company.
