Macmillan Cancer Support
There are two million people living with cancer in the UK today. As the population ages and treatments improve, this number will grow significantly. Macmillan Cancer Support aims to improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer, no matter who they are, where they live within the UK or what kind of cancer they have.
Better cancer care
We fund health and social care professionals, including specialist nurses and doctors.
We campaign for better cancer care. This could mean anything from getting a coffee machine installed in a waiting room to bringing about changes in health policy.
Support and information
We provide emotional support and free, high-quality cancer information through our information centres, website and phone service.
We provide practical support at home, from precious time off for a carer to a lift to hospital.
Financial support
We help people to cope with the extra costs cancer can bring through benefits advice and grants
