Arsenal were looking to continue their title push against Everton in the pick of Sunday's fixtures. Last season's clash at the Emirates came in April, with a 0-0 draw doing neither team any favours in their battle for Champions League qualification.

Elsewhere, Fulham take on Aston Villa. Villa were in the midst of their worst top- flight start since 1986 when they lost 1-0 at Fulham last season. Both sides have endured a tough opening to this campaign, and will be equally desperate for three points at Craven Cottage.
