Sex, Chapel and Rock 'n' Roll
Episode 2 of 4
Colour archive and personal stories recount life in the 60s. How a generation of teenagers broke church taboos on sex before marriage as never before.
Using personal stories and colour archive, this people's history tells the story of a very Welsh sexual revolution. It was driven by a new generation of teenagers who broke the old chapel taboos on sex before marriage as never before. Howard Marks, Heather Jones, Sharon Morgan, Owen Money and others reveal how they secretly broke the rules. But widespread sexual ignorance meant this was a rebellion that often ended up with unwanted pregnancies and shotgun weddings.
