Equine Science
Adam Walton visits the Northop campus of Glyndwr University, which is shared with Coleg Cambria, and explores Equine Science - from the biology and physiology of the horse, to how our understanding of the horse can improve its welfare.
We hear from Tamsin Young who is programme leader for the Equine Science and Welfare Management degree course, and Rosie MacDiarmid who is a part time lecturer and vet. Also in the programme Debbie Nash, a lecturer in Equine & Animal science at Aberystwyth University explains equine exercise physiology, and reporter Llinos Jones visits the Pen-y-Trip project near Porthmadog which uses experimental Equine Assisted Therapy to tackle such things as confidence and agression issues with young people.
