The home side are looking to make amends for their 4-0 defeat to Spurs in the League Cup third round last month. Tottenham also won 4-0 on their last Premier League visit to Villa Park, with Gareth Bale scoring a hat-trick.

Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last three league games and were 3-2 winners over title favourites Manchester City last time out at Villa Park.
