Great Scottish Run

Fresh from taking on double Olympic champion Mo Farah in September's Great North Run, Ethiopian legend Haile Gebrselassie tops the billing for the Glasgow-hosted Great Scottish Run. Despite the Emperor's advancing years, the 40-year-old two-time Olympic champion still should be the man to beat in the half-marathon showdown in Scotland.

The Great Scottish Run is Scotland's largest mass participation event with nearly 25,000 people taking part last year.
