Don’t just look on the table-tops: search underneath them and in the boxes at the back. You can even ask the seller if they’re holding anything in reserve. Car boot sales are competitive nowadays so you need to get there early to get ahead!
One of the best ways to spot something special at a car boot sale is to have a rough idea what to look for. So take a pottery marks book with you, and a hallmarks book – you can snap them up second hand quite cheaply. And, you never know, it could prove an invaluable investment.
