James Duncan MacKenzie has just released his first solo album, emerging from a background which stretches back to early instruction on the Isle of Lewis and ranges from performances with the prize-winning ScottishPower Pipe Band to gigs with one of the hottest young bands on the Scottish scene, Breabach. He also has a growing reputation as a composer, and his tunes are regularly heard in Glasgow's lively session scene.
